Abstract—   A Mobile Ad Hoc Network is a collection of mobile nodes forming a passing network, where the network topology changes dynamically due to member mobility. Data transfer in manet will shows a poor  network performance due to route failure and  link breakage.  In this paper  proposed  an on-demand an   DSBCA clustering algorithm for MANETs based on an Ad hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol. This  approach  is to reduce traffic during the routing process and also divide the network into cluster on the basis of their distance and density distribution, making it essentially different from the previous clustering algorithms.

Title: AVERTING DATA LOSS FOR MULTI-HOP WIRELESS BROADCASTING USING POSITION BASED ROUTING IN VANET

Author’s Name : G. Kavitha

Volume 01 Issue o3 March 2014  ISSN no:  2348-3121  Page no: 5-6

AbstractVehicular Ad hoc Network is a special class of Mobile Ad hoc Network which follows infrastructure less network. For broadcasting the message, the system deals with Distribution-Adaptive Distance with Channel Quality (DADCQ) protocol. It performs well on using distance method to forward nodes. The performance depends on wide variability in node density, pattern distributed, and Quality of Channel. DADCQ protocol addresses the problem by selecting decision threshold value by distance method. The success and the performance of the system depend on the threshold value selected. Whenever the mobile nodes are moving out of the region, the nodes will loss the data of the particular region. This happens in entire mobile environment. It can be reduced by using Position Based Routing Protocol. So, the proposed concept will provide better solution for the vehicular environment.

Abstract Applications of lean manufacturing to the continuous process industry have been far fewer. Managers also resist to adopt lean manufacturing tools and techniques to the continuous process industry because of reasons such as high volume, low variety products, large inflexible machines, long setup times that characterize the process industry. For Example. It is difficult to use the cellular manufacturing concept in a process facility due to the fact that equipment is large and not easy to move. Also, this research is driven by the fact that mostly researchers and practitioners have widely used lean manufacturing tools in the discrete industry; nobody has systematically investigated how to apply lean tools and techniques to a continuous process facility due to the differences exhibited between the two manufacturing environments. In order to be successful, continuous process industry also needs to look for more ways to gain a competitive edge.

Abstract –Bio- diesel fuel needs is one of the most promising alternatives. The current work of non edible vegetable oil, castor variable loads at 1500 rpm with a mixture of diesel cylinder, 4 -stroke, naturally aspirated, direct injection, and water- cooled, diesel engine performance has focused on spin dynamometer Kirloskar. Initially, castor oil and mixtures of them were selected. Castor oil physical and chemical properties, composition was determined. In general, cleaning and blending with diesel and vegetable oil viscosity can be reduced by heating them, is high. Engine performance and emission characteristics are determined using the castor- diesel blends. These results are compared to those of pure diesel. By analyzing the charts, the performance characteristics of diesel reduced emissions characteristics observed that increased their rated load. The low calorific value, high viscosity and the delay is due to the combustion process. Maps of the study, 10 % diesel and 90 % castor oil mixed with diesel engine without heat, without any mechanical changes can be observed that suited blend. It castor oil, can be used as a substitute for diesel.

Abstract –Illumination variation generally causes performance degradation of face recognition systems under real life environments. So a new technique called an illumination robust face recognition system using a fusion approach based on efficient facial feature called differential two-dimensional principal component analysis (D2D-PCA) for consumer applications. In the proposed method, face images are divided into two sub-images to minimize illumination effects, and D2D-PCA is separately applied to each sub-images. The individual matching scores obtained from two sub-images are then integrated using a weighted-summation operation, and the fused-score is utilized to classify the unknown user. This helps the user to authenticate, correct person even though illumination occurs.

Author’s Name : K.Sathish, S.Barathkumar

Volume 01 Issue o3 March 2014     ISSN no:  2348-3121   Page no: 39-43

Abstract—  This paper proposes a new hybrid cyclic delay diversity (HCDD) scheme for multiple input multiple output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. Unlike the existing double space time transmit diversity (DSTTD) and stacked cyclic delay diversity (SCDD) schemes that are suitable for integer multiplexing rates, the proposed HCDD scheme can achieve arbitrary non-integer multiplexing rates. Our results demonstrate that the HCDD scheme can provide flexibility in selecting the required number of transmitting antennas and in adjusting diversity and multiplexing gains to match various users requirements. The advantages of the proposed HCDD, including the flexible rate assignment and less complex receivers, are presented in applications of scalable video broadcasting (SVB).

Abstract— Multiple tri-axial acceleration sensor devices for joint sensing of injured body parts, when an accidental fall occurs. The model transmitted the information fed by the sensors distributed over various body parts to the computer through wireless transmission devices for further analysis and judgment, and employed cognitive adjustment method to adjust the acceleration range of various body parts in different movements .The concept of a fall is in the common sense, it is difficult to describe it precisely, and thus to specify its means of detection. If person was injured, he/she will take some time to recovery and then they will try to walk, at that time there are lots of possibilities to fall down, which we can monitor in receiving side by RF receiver. The accelerating sensors values goes abnormal then alert system (buzzer) will alert in the receiving side .The main focuses on designing a system that prevents a patient from falling down when he/she is unconsciousness. Two accelerating sensors are used to detect the position of patient who has met an accident and these sensors can be placed at different places of the body. If any abnormal activity occurs in any region, AIRBAG will be opened to prevent the person from falling. This information will be displayed in Liquid crystal display as well as PC. Front and Back fall detection is detected using x axis of accelerating sensor and Left and Right fall detection is detected using y axis of accelerating sensor.

Title: AUTOMATIC DETECTION OF DIABETIC RETINOPATHY AND OPTIC DISC BASED ON MATHEMATICAL MORPHOLOGY AND FUZZY SEGMENTATION METHODS

Author’s Name : M.Dinesh, J.Jafar Ali

Volume 01 Issue o3 March 2014  ISSN no:  2348-3121  Page no: 50-53

Abstract In this project  proposed  retinal image analysis is an essential step in the diagnosis of various eye diseases. Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) is globally the primary cause of visual impairment and blindness in diabetic patients. Early diagnosis through regular screening and timely treatment has proven beneficial in preventing visual impairment and blindness. In this paper we have proposed a novel approach to automatically detect diabetic retinopathy from digital fundus images. The digital fundus images are segmented employing  morphological operations to identify the regions showing signs of diabetic retinopathy such as hard exudates, soft exudates and the red lesions: microaneurysm and haemorrhages. Various color space values of the segmented regions are calculated. A fuzzy set is formed with the color space values and fuzzy rules are derived based on fuzzy logic reasoning for the detection of diabetic retinopathy. Experimental evaluation on the publicly available dataset DIARETDB0 demonstrates the improved performance of the proposed approach in the diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy.

AbstractIn this project  proposed  a  phase  offset  selected  mapping  (SLM)   Scheme  is  used  to reduce   PAPR   which  means  Peak to Average  Power   Ratio for Alamouti  coded  Multi-Input &Multi-Output  (MIMO)  orthogonal  Frequency  Division  Multiplexing  System. The  main  key idea  of  this  project  is  that  different  phase  rotation  sequence  are  multiplied  by  corresponding  phase  offset  at  a transmitter. Minimum Euclidean Distance (MED) decoder at the receiver will  recover that  phase  rotation  sequence. SLM  scheme  is  not  need  to  reserve  bits  for  side band information  due to this data rate is increased. Theoretical  analysis  and simulation  results  show  that  the  proposed  SLM  scheme  could  offer  good  performances  of  both  the  bit  error  rate and PAPR reduction. Multi-input multi-output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) has become a promising candidate for next generation broadband wireless communications a single-input single-output (SISO)-OFDM, one main disadvantage  of  the MIMO-OFDM is the high peak to- average power ratio (PAPR), which could be reduced by using an amplitude clipping.

Title: IMPLEMENTATION OF DYNAMIC PATH NETWORK FOR MULTIPROCESSOR SYSTEM-ON-CHIP

Author’s Name : Deepa.L, A.Thangamani , M.Varatharaj

Volume 01 Issue o3 March 2014   ISSN no:  2348-3121  Page No:58-63

AbstractIn this paper presents, the design of a novel on-chip network is to support a guaranteed traffic permutation in the multiprocessor system-on-chip applications. The dynamic path set up scheme provides run time path arrangement for conflict free permuted data. The pipelined circuit switching approach combined with dynamic path set up can be examined under multistage network topology. The circuit-switching approach offers a guarantee of permuted data and its compact overhead enables the benefit of stacking multiple networks. The most important task in a network-on-chip is to design an on-chip switch to dynamically support guaranteed throughput under very tight on-chip constraints of power, timing, area, and time-to-market. The pre-configured data paths enable a throughput guarantee. By removing the excessive overhead of queuing buffers, a compact implementation is achieved and stacking multiple networks to support concurrent permutations in runtime is feasible. The test-chip validates the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed design.

AbstractIndoor air quality (IAQ) is a key factor for ensuring safety, health and comfort of the people. Since physical variables describing IAQ, such as the concentration of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), concentrations of gaseous air contaminants and  that  of  other  toxic  gases  need  to  be closely   monitored,  concept  of  control network needs to be implemented. In   this   paper,   a   framework   of sensor network   for monitoring IAQ is explained where sensors are physically distributed   and   the   serial   communication network CAN (Controller Area Network) is used to exchange system information. CAN is a high integrity serial bus protocol that is designed to operate at high speeds ranging from 20kbit/s to 1Mbit/s which provide an efficient, reliable and very economical link between sensor nodes and display node. The communication between the sensor nodes and the display node through the CAN bus is evaluated using Hardware tests.

Title: MODELLING AND SIMULATION OF BOOST AC-AC CONVERTER TOPOLOGY USING MATRIX CONVERTER

Author’s Name : R.Pradeep

Volume 01 Issue o3 March 2014   ISSN no:  2348-3121  Page No:68-72

AbstractDomestic Induction Heating (IH) technology has become more popular in recent years due to features such as cleanness, safety, quicker warming, and higher efficiency, which outperforms other traditional heating systems. Most of the ac–ac converters used in home appliances is based on single output dc link inverters, which provide a cost effective and direct solution. However, a two stage power conversion drops power density and efficiency. Nevertheless, the complex control scheme and higher cost has prevented it from being used in cost oriented applications, such as home applications. This paper suggests the operation of Single-Phase Matrix Converter (SPMC) that could synthesize a greater AC output voltage from a given AC supply voltage.  Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBTs) are used to implement the SPMC topology while the well-known Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) scheme is used as the switching technique to synthesize the output waveform. The proposed topology reduces significantly the number of power electronic devices and complexity, leading to an efficient, flexible, and cost effective solution. The Matrix Converter [MC] block is shared with a high number of induction loads, the overall cost is significantly reduced and the proposed topology can target the home appliance market. In order to verify the proposed Matrix Converter [MC] topology, modeling and simulation was carried out by using MATLAB.

AbstractBinary Image processing is extremely useful in object recognition, tracking, motion detection, machine intelligence, image analysis, understanding video processing and identification and authentication systems. Binary image processing (BIP) has been commonly implemented using DSP. However, it is inefficient and difficult to use such processors for binary image processing. High-speed implementation of binary image processing operations can be efficiently realized by using chips specialized for binary image processing.  Mathematical Morphology (MM) is a nonlinear image processing framework used to manipulate or analyze the shape of functions or objects. MM is set theory-based methods of image analysis and plays an important role in many digital image processing algorithms and applications, e.g., noise filtering, object extraction, analysis or pattern recognition. The methods, originally developed for binary images, were soon extended and now apply to many different image representations. Nowadays, image processing systems have constraints on speed or hardware resources. In addition, in embedded or mobile applications, this system consumes low power and low memory. The cryptography involves efficient algorithms related to encryption and decryption.

Abstract  –   Cloud resources are shared in single cloud environment and multi cloud environment. Multi-cloud resource sharing scheme uses data and application partitioning mechanism. Four types of architectures are used to distributing resources to multiple cloud providers. They are Replication of applications, Partition of application System, Partition of application logic into fragments, Partition of application data into fragments. Replication of applications allows to receive multiple results from one operation performed in distinct clouds. Partition of application System into tiers allows separating the logic from the data. Partition of application logic into fragments allows distributing the application logic to distinct clouds. Partition of application data into fragments allows distributing fine-grained fragments of the data to distinct clouds. Data security and attack handling operation are managed by centralized or distributed manner in the cloud. Service and data management architectures are combined to provide a complete solution for security requirements. Multiparty communication based security system is used to improve the security over different clouds. Integrity is provided for data and service components sharing environment. An integrated intrusion detection system is proposed to handle malicious attacks. Anomaly based detection system is used to identify the attackers.

Abstract- Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a kind of communication network which is different from the traditional wireless network due to its characteristic of no central administration. It is a self-configurable and autonomous network, and consists of several independent nodes. MANET in recent years not only seen widespread use in domestic and commercial application areas but also becomes the focus of intensive research. Security aspects play an important role in almost all of these application scenarios given the vulnerabilities inherent in wireless ad hoc networking. We proposed system, the security goals and solutions to be achieved and also use cryptographic schemes such as distributed cryptography, to build a highly available and secure key management service and also provide accurate routing information in a timely manner. The efficiency of a distributed cryptosystem strongly depends on the characteristics of the public key cryptosystem on which it is based. Proposed system provides the optimized encryption method which may be related with the Diffie Hellman key exchange mechanism, to provide more security for data exchange. In this we perform spliting both, plaintext before encryption and ciphertext after encryption and also here we try to provide more security by combining both algorithms.

Abstract– Sensor devices are used to collect the environment information. Sink nodes are used to collect data from a group of sensor devices. Static and mobility based sink placement schemes are used to handle data collection process. Mobile sinks are used to increase the network lifetime with delay constraints. Random mobility and controlled mobility models are used in the mobile sinks. The network lifetime is managed with the number of nodes and delay values. The Delay bounded Sink Mobility (DeSM) problem is initiated under sensor node allocation to sinks. A polynomial-time optimal algorithm is used for the origin problem. Extended Sink Scheduling Data Routing (E-SSDR) algorithm is used to schedule sink nodes. The mobile sink scheduling scheme is enhanced to support large size networks. Distributed scheduling algorithm is applied to schedule nodes with high scalability. The scheduling scheme is tuned for multiple sink based environment. Delay and energy parameters are integrated in the sink scheduling process.

Volume 01 Issue o3 March 2014 ISSN no: 2348-3121 Page No:96-101

Abstract– Diabetic-related eye diseases are the most common cause of blindness in the world. So far the most effective treatment for these eye diseases is early detection through regular screenings. To lower the cost of such screenings, the project employs state-of-the-art image processing techniques to automatically detect the presence of abnormalities in the retinal images obtained during the screenings. The project detects the presence of diabetic retinopathy (DR)-related lesions from fundus images based on a common analytical approach that is capable of identifying both red and bright lesions without requiring specific pre or post-processing, constructs a visual dictionary representing points of interest (PoIs) located within regions of interest(ROIs)and a corresponding local image descriptor that contain lesions associated with DR and classifies the fundus images based on the presence or absence of these PoIs as normal or DR-related pathology. The novelty of this approach is in locating DR lesions in the optic fundus images using visual dictionary that combines feature information contained within the images in a framework easily extendible to different types of retinal lesions or pathologies and builds a specific projection space for each class of interest (e.g., white lesions such as exudates or normal regions) instead of a common dictionary for all classes. The automatically constructed visual words dictionary was applied to classifying bright and red lesions with classical cross validation and cross dataset validation to indicate the robustness of this approach.

Abstract– Single sign-on (SSO) is a new authentication mechanism that enables a legal user with a single credential to be authenticated by multiple service providers in a distributed computer network. SSO scheme should meet at least three basic security requirements, unforgeability, credential privacy, and soundness. Chang and Lee which uses the RSA cryptosystem scheme are actually insecure, as it fails to meet credential privacy and soundness of authentication. Specifically, there are two impersonation attacks. The first attack allows a malicious service provider, who has successfully communicated with a legal user twice, to recover the user’s credential and then to impersonate the user to access resources and services offered by other service providers. In another attack, an outsider without any credential may be able to enjoy network services freely by impersonating any legal user or a nonexistent user. To overcome these two attacks, Chang and Lee reviewed and uses the RSA VES (Verifiable Encryption Signature). To Enhance the security of SSO the AES (Advanced Encryption Algorithm) is used for encryption and decryption.

Abstract -Video sharing is a popular application in online social networks. But its   development is s hindered by the limit of the client/server architecture deployed in current video systems. It is costly in terms of server bandwidth and storage and it is not efficient with the increasing amount of users and video content. The peer-assisted Video-on-Demand (VoD) technique, in which participating peers assist the main server in delivering video content has been proposed here.  Videos can only be disseminated through friends in the present systems. Based on our long-term real-world measurement of over 1,000,000 users and 2,500 videos on Facebook, we propose SocialTube, a novel peer-assisted video sharing system that explores social relationship, interest similarity, and physical location between peers in OSNs. Social Tube incorporates  a technique called SN-based chunk prefetching to  improve the quality of user experience and system scalability over current P2P VoD techniques

Author’s Name :T.R.Lekhaa

Volume 01 Issue o3 March 2014 ISSN no: 2348-3121 Page No:116-119

AbstractThe performance of vision-based control systems, in particular, of highly dynamic vision-based motion control system is often limited by the low sampling rate of the visual feedback caused by the long image processing time. In order to overcome this problem, the Networked Visual Servo Control (NVSC), which integrates networked computational resources for cloud image processing, is considered in this paper. The main contributions of this paper are the following: 1) a real-time streaming protocol for transmitting large-volume image data on a cloud-computing platform, which enables high-sampling-rate visual feedback;2) a stabilizing control law for the NVSC system with time-varying feedback time delay; and 3) a priority based scheduling strategy aiming at reducing the communication network load.

Title: COMPARATIVE STUDY OF HEMP AND RUBBER SEED OIL BLENDS USED AS AN ALTERNATIVE FUEL IN DIESEL ENGINE

Author’s Name :V.Ganesan, R.Krishnaprasath, D. Praveenkumar

Volume 01 Issue o3 March 2014 ISSN no: 2348-3121 Page No:120-124

AbstractThe methyl esters of vegetable oils, known as biodiesel are becoming increasingly popular because of their low environmental impact and potential as a green alternate fuel for diesel engines. Use of vegetable oils in conventional not adapted diesel engines leads to slightly inferior performance and higher smoke emissions due to their high viscosity. The performance of vegetable oils can be improved by modifying them through the transesterification process. In the present study, a comparison on the basis of the performance and emission characteristics of different blends of transesterified Hemp (B10 and B20)and Rubber seed oil (B10 and B20) biodiesel was done on a 550 cm³ single cylinder four stroke water cooled diesel engine and the results were compared to that of diesel. Resultsindicated that in comparison to pure diesel and Rubber seed oil, B20 blend of Hemp biodiesel provides better thermal efficiency, lower specific fuel consumption, reduced CO and CO2 emissions but a considerable increase was found in NOx emission and smoke density was decreased with increase in biodiesel concentration i.e. at 20%.

These are biodegradable and non-abrasive. The natural fiber composites offer specific properties comparable to those of conventional fiber composites. Select the suitable Palmyra fiber, couscous filler and epoxy resin. Collect these materials with suitable ratio and select the pre treatment method. After the pre-treatment to fabricate the particle board by using suitable fabrication technique. After the fabrication to take the mechanical test, with constant load and fatigue load. Finally to fabricate the particle board with best load value. After the fabrication take the mechanical testing for both loads. Select the one fabrication method.Natural and synthetic fibers are combined in same matrix to make Palmyra /glass fiber hybrid composites and the mechanical behaviour of these hybrid composites were about to studied. A significant improvement in mechanical behavior of Palmyra /glass fiber has been found .Palmyra fiber was treated by alkali solution (NaOH 5% to 10%) to enhance the interfacial adhesion of Palmyra fiber composite for mechanical property improvement.

AbstractWhen a vehicle is parked under the direct sun, the accumulated heat brings an uncomfortable operating period for the passengers and it also affects many interiors inside the vehicle cabin, such as the vinyl materials of the dashboard, the leather covers and the electronic components. Thermal storage system using phase change materials is one of the most efficient and attractive ways for eliminating the accumulated heat from the vehicle cabin since it uses latent heat for heating and cooling a system. The project is about modeling an innovative system for maintaining thermal comfort in the interior compartment of a stationary car facing the solar energy from the sun. A very thin layer of Phase change material consist of salt hydrate HS29 inside an aluminum panel is placed in the ceiling of the car in which the heating energy is absorbed and release with melting and solidification of phase change materials. The PCM-temperature controlling system is simple and has a potential to be implemented as a practical solution to prevent undesirable heating of the automobile’s cabin.
